This policy applies to Daily Utensils at dailyutensils.com. It explains what happens when you read the site or send an enquiry. It does not cover the separate websites linked from our articles. Daily Utensils is an independent publication. It is not a cookware manufacturer, a retailer, or a party to a purchase you make from a linked shop.

Information you provide

Our contact form asks for a name, reply email, enquiry topic and message, with an optional page URL. These details are stored in a private WordPress reader inbox accessible to site administrators so they can review and handle the enquiry. The form does not automatically add you to a marketing list. Please do not send payment card numbers, account passwords, order records or private household information.

Technical information and abuse prevention

Serving a page involves technical data such as an IP address, requested URL, request time, browser type and device information. Hosting and security systems can use request logs to operate and protect the website. The contact form uses a short-lived keyed hash of the network address to limit repeated submissions; that rate-limit entry expires after one hour and is not saved as part of the message. It also uses a form token and a hidden spam-trap field.

Google Ad Manager

Editorial pages on Daily Utensils load Google Ad Manager (GPT) to request display, anchor, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Those requests can include the page URL, browser information, and advertising cookies used to choose and measure ads. About, Contact, Privacy, Terms, Cookie, and Disclaimer pages do not load that ad code. Watching a rewarded ad can set a first-party cookie named dailyutensils_access for six hours so interstitial and rewarded requests pause; display and anchor ads can still load. If a rewarded ad does not fill, the site stays readable.

Why information is used and who receives it

Reader messages are used to investigate issues, handle privacy or copyright requests and reply where appropriate. Technical information supports delivery, security and measurement. Hosting, security and advertising providers may process information necessary for their functions. An enquiry may also need to be retained or disclosed to respond to a valid legal requirement. We do not promise that information stays entirely inside one country.

Retention and security

Messages in the reader inbox are scheduled for automatic deletion after 180 days, with a daily cleanup. Earlier deletion can be requested where applicable. Backups and security logs follow their own operational rotation and may not disappear at the same time as a live message. Access to the inbox is restricted to administrators, but no website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Choices and privacy requests

Use Contact Us to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you submitted, or to raise another privacy concern. Include enough context to locate the record but not identity documents in an initial message. We may need proportionate verification before acting. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. Children and changes

The contact form is not intended for children to send personal information without appropriate adult involvement. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child’s information submitted to the site.
